Souad Muhammad Al SabahGreat-granddaughter of Shaikh Muhammad Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Sixth Ruler (R.1892 – 1896), wife of Shaikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Deputy Ruler (1950 – 1960) and son of the Founder of Modern Kuwait, Shaikh Mubarak Al-Sabah (R.1896 – 1915).

A Muslim Arab Kuwaiti lady, who is attached to her faith, and addicted to knowledge, literature and poetry. She is an avid reader, lover of travels and visual arts, with an equal love and devotion for her family to which she dedicates her energies as a wife and mother.

Meanwhile, she is deeply involved in furthering Arab intellectual activities, supporting cultural organizations, sponsoring human rights as well as child and women’s rights in addition promoting the national issues of the Arab World.

She grew up in a family which is interested in knowledge and the arts, as well as the various literary genres. Her father Shaikh Muhammad Sabah Al-Sabah left a deep impact on her, as she inherited from him a great deal of her intellectual and personal interests, featuring love of literature in general, and of poetry in particular. Moreover, works of the visual arts became a constant companion of her literary works which were coupled either with her own paintings or those by produced by renowned Arab and world painters.
